"Blusukan"

"Blusukan"

“Blusukan” comes from the main word “Blusuk”. "Blusuk" means entry ( come in ) in Javanese language.  If the word “Blusuk“ is positioned as a noun, the word will get suffix "-an”, which will then turn the word "Blusuk" into “Blusukan”. "Blusukan" is a term used to describe an activity entered onto a place then out again, and in again. However "blusukan" is a specific activity done in places that aren't considered a luxurious place. We can’t use the term “blusukan“  for activities done in places that are considered luxurious because more precisely, “ blusukan” is defined as an activity out into places that are rarely passed or visited by people. Our president uses the term “blusukan“ when he went to a place or visited a place and he gave benefits to that place . The first example is when president Jokowi gave out the "Kartu indonesia Sehat" ( KIS ) to 82 million people. The second example is After performing Eid al-Adha prayer at Merdeka Square in Sukabumi, he handed over sacrificial animals to the citizens living in Sukabumi at the Grand Mosque of Sukabumi. On Friday, September 1, 2017, President Joko Widodo also went to Kebonjati Village, Cikole , Sukabumi City to witness the handover of 1,500 packages of nine basic necessities and handed over sacrificial animals in the form of a Simmental cow with a weight of 851 kg. After Jokowi did the "blusukan" as in the examples above, people around the area where Jokowi did the blusukan got benefits from it. The people that got the "Kartu Sehat Indonesia" (KIS) doesn’t have to pay for the hospital fee if they went/stayed in a hospital because "Kartu Sehat Indonesia" (KIS) is an insurance card that will help the citizens of Indonesia able to go/stay at a hospital without having to pay for the fee. And the people that got cow meat from Jokowi doesn’t have to spend a lot of money to buy the meat because Jokowi already handed cow meat to the people living around that area. According to a lot of citizens, “Blusukan” gives Indonesia a better impact because it makes Indonesia’s economy better. This is also proven by Jokowi himself when he went to several markets in Indonesia. It also makes Indonesia’s infrastructure better.
